چکیده

Abstract Sorghum, Sorghum bicolor L. Moench (Poaceae), is a highly valued crop cultivated worldwide, with the grain and stover being of equal importance in some developing countries. can produce high yields even under adverse environmental conditions, however, damage from insect pests at various stages plant’s development reduce its productivity, impacting low-income farmers Important sorghum include leaf-sucking species, leaf-feeding stalk or stem borers, panicle stored grain. Modern control strategies cultural controls, biological control, pesticides (chemical, botanicals, microbial), host plant resistance. An integrated approach recommended based on combination growth regulators conservation practices to protect natural enemies landscape level. Long-term successful management also requires regulatory policies limit invasion new pests.

Insect pests of tea and their management.

Globally, 1031 species of arthropods are associated with the intensively managed tea Camellia sinensis (L.) O. Kuntze monoculture. All parts of the plant, leaf, stem, root, flower, and seed, are fed upon by at least one pest species, resulting in an 11%-55% loss in yield if left unchecked. There has been heavy use of organosynthetic pesticides since the 1950s to defend the plant against these p...

Ecology and management of arthropod pests of poultry.

The worldwide spread of modern, high-density confined poultry production systems under the direction of integrators has intensified the importance of a select number of arthropod ectoparasites and habitat pests. This concentrated production of poultry provides artificial ecosystems that are sometimes ideal for the development of large populations of arthropod pests. At the same time the systems...
